The much-awaited Homecoming on February 8, 2025, was a heart-warming celebration of nostalgia, camaraderie, and inspiration. The event started with a luncheon with the Deans and Professors where alumni engaged with their mentors and reminisced about the transformative years spent on campus.
The afternoon opened with an address by the Dean Academic, Professor Bhaskar Chakrabarti and a felicitation of MBAEx batch 8 and 9 [Class of 2013 and 2014] by Professor Partha Pratim Pal who was the Chairperson of both the batches.
The highlight of the afternoon was a key note address by Professor Ashok Banerjee, Director-Indian Institute of Management Udaipur on the topic, India 2047.
There was a reprise of the Being a CEO sessions curated for the Alumni with Ms. Kasturi Sengupta from National Insurance Company Limited on The role of insurance in economic growth and stability & MD. Anzar Alam (MBAEx Batch 1 alumnus) from Eastern Coalfields Limited, on the energy sector.
Adding to the events impact, a dedicated session was hosted with alumni and MBAEx PlaceCom team, assisting current batch mates with placement guidance, CV corrections, and referrals, ensuring continued support in their career journeys.
The night came alive with a special poetry recital session by Professor Vidyanand Jha, live games and stalls (including Tarot Readings, Live Sketching, Live Perfume Making, Live Photo Printing, Turkish Ice-Cream, among others), with live band performance performances by JBS Baro-Club and a heartfelt felicitation ceremony honouring the alumni for their remarkable journeys.
There was also a nostalgic campus tour walk, engaging podcast with Professor Biju Paul Abraham, among other faculty and alumni, followed by a friendly snooker match ensuring that every moment on campus was cherished. The warmth of the engagement resonated with both alumni and the current batch, making the event truly special.
