What is campus visit? Is it a company meet for job placement?

The campus visit is a crucial part of each programme. It facilitates in-class experience of face-to-face sessions. Participants not only get the opportunity to meet the faculty members and network amongst themselves, they also get a chance to immerse in the rich academic environment of the Institute. It is especially required for some courses which are best delivered by direct interactions with the faculty and amongst the participants. The duration of each campus visit and the number of campus visits vary from programme to programme.

Is visit to the campus mandatory?

Attending the Campus modules, wherever applicable, is a mandatory requirement for the successful completion of most programmes.

Where is accommodation provided during campus visits?

During the campus modules, accommodation is provided to the participants in the Management Development Centre which has well-furnished air-conditioned rooms, all provided with seamless internet connectivity, intercom facility, private verandas and en-suite bathrooms.

There are study areas and social spaces open to the entire community in the campus. The participants can also avail the library facilities while on campus.

What is the evaluation pattern?

Examinations are held either online or during the campus visits. The pattern of questions is decided by the respective course instructor.

What is the method of evaluation?

Participants are evaluated on the basis of an appropriate combination of examinations, assignments, projects, and class participation for each of the courses. For every course the participants are given any one of the following grades: Excellent; Good; Fair; or Poor.

What if I miss any examination?

Make up examinations are held towards the end of the programme to give participants who were absent for the original examination, an opportunity to complete the course. However, this needs prior approval from the appropriate authority before missing the examination.

What is the minimum attendance criterion?

Participants need to maintain a minimum attendance criterion in each course of the programme. The details are provided with the programme guidelines which are given at the start of every programme.

What happens in case I miss an online session?

Archives of the lecture sessions are made available for the absentees by the service providers within an approved time frame.

What happens in case I am not able to complete the programme with the current batch?

In case a participant fails to maintain the minimum attendance criterion or is unable to complete the programme with the current batch, he/she will be given the opportunity to re-join with one of the next two batches after paying the requisite fee, provided the programme is being offered at that time. If a participant fails to complete the programme even in next two batches, his / her registration will automatically get cancelled.

How will I receive the reading material and books?

Books and Reading material are mostly distributed during campus visits. Reading material (pre/post session) is also shared regularly through the online Learning Management System.

Can I get a refund if I am unable to continue with the programme?

No, there is no provision of any refund of fees paid. If a participant does not attend the programme after paying the fee, the fee will be forfeited. It is only in the case of cancellation of an LDP, that fees paid will be refunded to participants.
